| The iOXCTM NNN (N=4,8) provides a solid-state, single-chip solution for a strictly non-blocking and hitless NxN switch with power monitoring and automatic channel balancing functions. The integrated photonic chip is based on DuPont Photonics’ library of proven, Telcordia-qualified, optical building blocks and planar lightwave circuit (PLC) integration technology. The iOXCTM NNN is actuated with electrical power based on thermooptics. The iOXCTM NNN is ideal for intelligent optical networking systems aimed at reducing carrier operating expenditures (OPEX) by automatically balancing channels as wavelengths are configured, making it possible to remotely control network elements. Equivalent to 128 discrete optical components, the iOXCTM 888 provides an efficient solution with dramatically reduced cost, size, and power dissipation. Custom configurations are available to meet specific system architecture needs. |
